And just like that, October has come to an end. Not just any October might I add. The busiest and most lovely October ever. We saw some truly magical love stories celebrated in beautiful ways on these special days. Also, I must add that every special wedding day we had this last month was the most perfect day weather wise. We truly were blessed with such stunning days to celebrate on. Proof was in the pudding this last month as to why October is such a busy month for weddings! Today, I wanted to dive into a few fun details and moments from some of our October weddings!
Gina & Quinton
To kick off October we had the ever so lovely Gina and Quinton(Q). They had a gorgeous day weather wise in beautiful downtown St. Charles at The Graceful Ordinary. This space has the prettiest details, the most charming and cozy layout, and a beautiful view of the Fox River. The hair and makeup was perfect, everyone looked gorgeous. The table setups were so pretty and timeless. The fun details were all there. The food… was incredible. Now, when it came to the bride and groom… pure. They were pure beauty, purely genuine, purely amazing. They let their love shine on their special day and everyone could feel it. From their vows to their sparkler exit, love was felt. It was truly an honor to be a part of their special day and we wish them all the happiness in their marriage.
Tori & Brian
Another fun part of our October was the double header we had one weekend. We had a Friday wedding and then a Saturday wedding! Tori and Brian had their wedding in a brewery they love to go to as a couple. They wanted a non-traditional venue and they got it. They rented out the whole building and we transformed that space. Even though they wanted a non-traditional wedding venue, they wanted it to still feel like a wedding. We brought in pipe and drape to make the room feel more comfortable and romantic. Not only was the room beautiful, Tori and Brian’s love story is also beautiful. Brian has a 16 year old daughter and Tori & Brian have a one year old son together. Watching the bond the four of them have as a family brought literal tears to my eyes. Tori loves her step-daughter with all her heart and had special moments that showed their deep connection. They even had a secret special dance! Watching Brian cry watching them shows how loved each of these two women are to him.
Wendy & Jeff
Then we had Wendy and Jeff on Saturday. Talk about EXTRA! Wendy went all out on her wedding and Jeff was there to support every moment of it. Wendy had an amazing vision that we brought to life and every detail was thought of. She wanted to bring her hispanic heritage into cocktail hour and it turned out better than you could expect. With traditional colors, drinks, snacks, and even a 40 person live dance performance. Guests were entertained and enjoyed every moment of the two hour cocktail hour. Then moving into reception, we brought her elegance and grace into this space. Tall and breathtaking centerpieces captured the tall ceilings in the room. My favorite part was being able to bring Wendy & Jeff into the space before anyone and let them have a moment. They practiced their choreographed dance and the love between them beamed! They are a beautiful couple. Wendy began open dancing with another choreographed dance with her girls. They changed into tracksuits and killed the stage! Everyone was out of their seats and cheering them on. The music selection told a story about a girl having their girl friends, but then finding the perfect man. All while still having the love and support from friends.
Becky & Eric
To round out our October we finished strong with Becky and Eric. The sweetest couple, so genuinely kind and caring, they were great. Their day was all in the same spot, ceremony, reception, and hotel. It was so cool to have literally everything all in one location. Another piece of the wedding puzzle that is fun for us is getting to know the venue manager. We hit the jackpot here with the venue manager at Hotel Arista! It was such a great open and honest partnership and we loved getting to know each other! When all vendors are working well together it makes the day even better! One thing our bride and groom wanted was a few minutes inside the reception space when it was complete before everyone was let into the space. It was such a special moment for Becky and Eric to see the space alone and capture a few pictures in this gorgeous setting. If this is something that sounds like the kind of moment you would live for, do it! Block out a little bit of time during cocktail hour to get into the reception space and have those moments! It is worth it I promise.
