As Monarch continues serving more couples in the Chicago suburbs, we’re looking to expand our team! We’re interested in hiring a planner who is able to lead and execute our Chicago suburbs weddings, with great attention to client experience and MCE’s values.

About the Lead Coordinator Position

This is a part-time, contracted position, where you will serve as lead coordinator for 5-8 weddings per year.

This is not an assistant position! As Lead Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact between Monarch and the couple from consultation to wedding day – the entire planning process! You will communicate and meet with couples via video and in person as needed.

Training for this planner position will begin in 2023, so you are ready to take on weddings solo starting in 2024. This position will manage our event management package weddings, with room to grow in the future.

At MCE, our primary focus is eliminating the stress associated with wedding planning for our couples. We aim to guide them throughout the planning process, with great attention to their vision and the logistics that will make their day successful. As a wedding planner, it is our job to make this experience a fun and memorable one that couples can look back at with fondness. We’re here to prove that wedding planning doesn’t have to be a drag!

About Monarch Creative Events

We are a full-service wedding planning company in the Chicago suburbs. Most of our clients hire us for Event Management Services.

More than that, we are a team of fierce, independent women who love to have fun and are as passionate about each other as we are about weddings! What’s better than doing the work you love with awesome people who support you?

All of our team members work part-time. In addition to wedding planning, we each have passions in other areas. We are growing rapidly and looking for team members excited to grow with us!

  • Local to Chicago suburbs
  • Willing and able to travel up to 90 miles
  • Able to commit to 5-8 weekends per year, with multiple weekdays leading up to each wedding. Can be evenings if needed. 
  • Organized and self-disciplined
  • Must have a computer and internet that works efficiently with video calls
  • Previous event experience preferred
  • Able to stand for long periods of time on wedding day
  • Enjoy person-centered work and making connections with people
